Godet Denim Skirt

This is my fourth time purchasing the Godet Denim Skirt for myself and my daughter! It is perfect for everyday and goes with everything! I also love the A-line, as it allows for freedom of movement and long strides when walking. I also love that most of your skirts come in the 39-inch length, as I am 5' 10", so this length is still several inches above my ankles. I usually wear a size large, but this skirt is a little tight in the lower hip for me in that size, so I go up to an XL and then sew two small tucks on each side of the waistband on the back of the skirt to make the waist fit and the lower hip a bit fuller for my shape. The tucks don't even show when wearing the skirt, because the elastic waistband is always covered. Years ago, I used to buy a similar denim A-line skirt from Chadwick's of Boston that had a section of gathered elastic in this area, and it fit me perfectly. However, this modification works as well. I also liked this skirt better when it was originally made with the pockets on the inside, but the pockets on the outside is okay too. It is so nice to have a skirt with pockets!
